Study on Ecological Restoration in Europe

Target 2 of the EU Biodiversity Strategy foresees the restoration of 15% of degraded ecosystems by 2020. This will play a significant role in the achievement of the headline target of stopping biodiversity loss.

In order to provide the assistance to Member States in achieving their restoration targets, this study is providing Technical support in relation to the promotion of restoration in the context of the EU biodiversity strategy to 2020, reporting to DG Environment of the European Commission.

The results of the analysis of restoration actions by all stakeholders will be a valuable resource for all actors from a wide range of sectors.

This online SURVEY is a part of the data gathering effort for the study, and evidence from all sectors involved in ecological restoration is critical to us.

If you are an expert either directly involved in restoration actions, or if you possess information about restoration actions in your sector or industry, it would be appreciated it if you would share your information.

In this way we can ensure that your knowledge and experience can be of benefit to a better implementation of ecological restoration strategies in Europe.

Do not hesitate to disseminate this message in your relevant networks.
